Visiting the new Lake City Tiny Home Village
Grand opening for the new Tiny Home Village in Lake City
The grand opening for the Olympic Hills Tiny Home Village, in the Lake City neighborhood was Thursday, Feb 19.
The village has 45 Tiny Houses: Each unit has electricity, heat, A/C, and a door that locks.
The village will house individuals, couples, and residents with pets.
There’s a shared kitchen and gathering spaces. With restrooms, showers, and a laundry room on site.
The village is fully fenced and has 24/7 security and on-site management.
There is case management on site to help folks transition to permanent housing.
The Low Income Housing Institute (lihihousing.org) was the primary developer for the village with support and partnership from Purpose Dignity Action (wearepda.org), Sound Foundations NW (soundfoundationsnw.org), and King County Regional Homelessness Authority (kcrha.org).
